The Estate Agency Affairs Board had previously interpreted regulation 7(3) of the Standard of Training of Estate Agents Regulations, 2008, as meaning that, to qualify for the grant of the statutory exemption against the Professional Designation Examination (“PDE”), estate agents must have continuously held a valid fidelity fund certificate solely for the period 2003 to 2008 inclusive.

IEASA REAL ESTATE INDUCTION AND FULL QUALIFICATION COURSES OFFERS GOOD COVERAGE OF BASICS IN PROPERTY CAREER

Interns have the opportunity to attend Full qualification training and/or a three day induction course, both being offered at the training centre of the the Institute of Estate Agents Western Cape.  The induction course held from 13 to 15 June 2016 will offer those who are starting a career or thinking about a career in real estate an advantageous comprehensive understanding of how the property sector works.

It is highly recommended opportunity for all newcomers to property profession who want to know what is needed to get started in a real estate career.  Some private individuals who are considering a change to the property sector will benefit, as well as those agents who have left and are wanting to return. This course is also aimed at assisting interns, and principals who have agents in their teams, who are about to begin their FETC Real Estate NQF4 Qualification training.

The Minister of Higher Education and Training in 2010, for a period 2011 to 2016. The Services SETA is responsible for skills development in the services sector.

The Services SETA is undertaking an exercise to identify, address, and eliminate, outstanding applications, received in respect of:

Skills Development Providers awaiting External moderation dates;

  1. Outstanding certifications and statements of results
  2. All candidates who have submitted applications for registration of assessor and moderator;
  3. Skills development providers who applied for accreditation;
  4. Artisans trade test certificates.

The Services SETA thus calls upon applicants who have submitted applications (during the period March 2000 until 30 April 2015) in respect of any of the above, or who have been trade tested at various Services SETA centres (also during the period March 2000 until 30 April 2015), but have yet to receive any feedback to kindly follow the link http://ssetabacklogs.fhx.co.za/ and to log their issues there.
