The EAAB is pleased to report that the CPD contact sessions for the 2016 calendar year have now commenced and will be continuing countrywide until 12 December 2016.
The enthusiastic response to the contact sessions from CDP participants is most gratifying. It is certainly hoped that property practitioners will find the CPD events for 2016 to be not only informative and interesting but that they will meaningfully contribute to an increased knowledge and appreciation of the often complex legal, economic and social environments within which property practitioners operate.
The EAAB wishes to take this opportunity again to emphasise that only participants who have booked on-line to attend contact CPD events, and who have received a confirmation from the EAAB of those reservations, can be granted access to the contact CPD sessions. Participants who, for whatever reason, have neglected or were unable to make a reservation to attend contact CPD events will, unfortunately, not be granted entry to those events.
As much as the EAAB would prefer to do so, granting access to contact CPD events by unregistered persons is severely prejudicial to all registered attendees. On the conclusion of each CPD event, and once all participants have had the opportunity of ‘swiping out’ of the event, EAAB administrative staff will immediately close-off that event. Doing so enables the accrued CPD points for that event immediately to be allocated to attendees.
If the EAAB were to permit unregistered persons to attend CPD events this would make it impossible to close-off those events. Failure to close-off an event inordinately delays the allocation of CPD points to registered participants.
The EAAB wishes, thus, to underscore the fact that unregistered CPD participants will not, under any circumstances, be granted admission to contact CPD events. Persons who are unsure as to whether they are registered to attend a contact CPD event are requested, rather, to contact the EAAB at least five days prior to the scheduled event to ascertain the position.
