The Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority hereby informs all prospective candidates that the registration period for the Professional Designation Examination (PDE), scheduled for 13 August 2026, has been extended. Registration was due to close on 31 July 2026, and has now been extended to Friday, 07 August 2026.
This extension follows the technical challenges experienced on the 30th of July 2026 on the MyPPRA portal, which may have disrupted access for some candidates attempting to complete their PDE registration. In the interest of fairness and accessibility, the Authority has resolved to afford all affected and prospective candidates additional time to complete the registration process.
All eligible and qualifying property practitioners who have not yet registered are strongly encouraged to make use of this additional time to complete their registration via the MyPPRA portal at www.theppra.org.za, and to make the required payment before the revised closing date.
Prospective candidates are reminded that the PDE eligibility criteria remain unchanged, and may be accessed via the following link: https://theppra.org.za/education/pde/eligibility-for-pde/. Candidates who proceed to sit the examination without meeting the prescribed eligibility requirements, or who fail to register via the portal and make the required payment by the extended closing date, will have their examination scripts disqualified and not marked. Any payments made under such circumstances will be forfeited.
