The Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB) has processed almost all applications from legally compliant estate agents for their fidelity fund certificates (FFCs).
Over the past week a dedicated team has been working to fast-track the issuing of 2020 FFCs to estate agents who applied on time and who are fully compliant.
As of 4pm on Wednesday 18 December, 29 451 FFCs were processed and issued and can be downloaded from the EAAB portal. A total of 29 727 applications were received – the remaining FFCs will be issued by Friday December 20.
Applications of estate agents who are compliant but who paid their levy after the prescribed period of October 31 will be processed by 20 December 2019.
All non-complaint estate agents will be dealt with in due course.
The EAAB is confident that all valid and compliant FFCs will be finalized by December 20 on which day the EAAB will issue a report to all stakeholders.
