PHASE 1 and 2 EAAB Annual Roadshows for 2014
The Estate Agency Affairs Board will be conducting their Annual Roadshow Seminars commencing from May -November 2014.
Invitations are currently been sent out to estate agents where we have correct email addresses. If you do not receive an invitation, please RSVP your attendance directly to margie@eaab.org.za indicating name of attendee/s, email address and contact number and date that you wish to attend a.s.a.p.
The EAAB eagerly anticipates your attendance at these seminars and looks forward to meeting and engaging with all stakeholders. It is hoped that you will not only enjoy but also derive great benefit from attending the seminar.
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – CPD POINTS WILL BE ALLOCATED TO ALL NON-PRINCIPAL AND PRINCIPAL ESTATE AGENT ATTENDEES
How will I receive my CPD Points?
CPD Points will be provided to all Non-Principal and Principal estate agents that have attended one of our roadshow seminar’s.
The Marketing and Publications Department will email Attendance Certificates reflecting the CPD Points allocated to Non-Principal and Principal estate agents within 5 working days after the seminar. Please ensure that when you register at the event that you have provided your correct email address to one of the EAAB staff in attendance.
How many points will be allocated?
The Estate Agency Affairs Board will award 3 CPD points to attend any one of its Annual Roadshow Seminars.
Under which category will these allocated CPD points fall under?
The 3 CPD points allocated fall under the Education and Training Category (Compulsory – verifiable).
Education and Training (Compulsory – verifiable)
CPD points required: 15 points per year
Education and Training includes all education and training gained through acquiring the South African Qualifications Authority (“SAQA”) accredited qualifications and attending appropriate EAAB approved short courses, seminars, conferences and/or workshops where the focus is content specific and relevant to property general and estate agency in particular and includes the participation by estate agents as lecturers at such events.
For the present only the EAAB will be presenting the required verifiable Education and Training CPD interventions for estate agents. It is, therefore, not envisaged that external providers will be accredited by the EAAB for at least the following eighteen months while the EAAB implements and assesses the IT monitoring, management and control system for CPD that it will shortly be instituting.
