Any estate agency firm with an annual total turnover of less than R2,5 million qualifies as an Exempted Micro-Enterprise (“EME”).
Exempted Micro Enterprises (“EMEs”) will be exempt from obtaining a B-BBEE verification certificate and will automatically be awarded a level 4 recognition as per the Amended Codes of Good Practice.
Property Practitioners can complete an Affidavit, signed by an Commissioner of Oaths. Once the Affidavit has been stamped by a Commissioner of Oaths, the Affidavit serves as a B-BBEE certificate as no other verification is required for Exempted Micro Enterprises.
