All stakeholders and examination candidates are advised that the EAAB On-line Examination System is ready and examination candidates, in particular, are advised to check their provided emails (i.e. email addresses provided on the enrolment form) – this includes checking of Spam/junk emails etc, for specific software and set-up requirements that are important prior to them undertaking the examination on the 19 November 2020. The email will also provide a link to enable the candidates to tour the system upfront.
Examination Seat Numbers
As the examination will be conducted through the new On-line Examination system, the EAAB will at this time NOT be communicating or confirming Examination Seat Numbers to examination candidates (these will be created at a later stage and populated on My EAAB portal on the candidates’ profiles as we will use these for uploading of examination results and any further post-examination queries from examination candidates. Examination candidates who have already been issued with or sent the Examination Seat Numbers are advised to keep record of the same as they will still be valid for our post examination processes.
Mode of the examination
The examination will be for four (4) hours (this time includes your reading time of examination questions), open-book and will be taken strictly via the EAAB On-line System.
Examination Venues published on the website prior at enrolment stage
Examination candidates are reminded that the Examination venues that were initially published on the EAAB website were meant to enable On-line enrolment. This means that there will be no examination conducted in those venues and therefore please do not visit those venues as there will not be any venue-based examination in those venues.
The examination duration is 4 hours which includes the examination reading time, and it will be available from 9.00am – 13:00pm. At 9.00am all examination candidates must have logged-in successfully in order to start the examination without delays (the details on how to log-in will be communicated strictly to the examination candidates using email addresses provided on the examination enrolment form submitted to the EAAB). At 13.00pm the system will automatically close and submit the examination on behalf of the candidate regardless of whether they have provided answers to all questions or not – 13:00 pm is the end of the 4 hour examination session.
Important System Requirements
The examination can be taken on a desktop computer or laptop. The examination candidates need an Internet connection throughout the whole examination, and the minimum speed required is 1MBps. The screen resolution of your computer must be a minimum of 1280×800 pixels. A functioning webcam with video and sound is required.
Examination candidates are required to ensure that they have installed the latest Google Chrome Browser on their computers as the Online Examination System will not be able to function optimally without the latest Google Chrome Browser thus disabling the examination candidates from proceeding to take the examination or completing the examination on time.
Important reminder on the release of Examination results
As per standard process, the examination results are released by the EAAB within 6 – 8 weeks after the date of the examination. These results are populated on the examination candidate’s profile and are viewable on My EAAB portal. Examination Candidates are required to view these results by logging into their profile on the portal.
Lodging of appeals against examination results
Unsuccessful examination candidates are required to lodge the appeals through the EAAB Query Management System and attaching payment proof within 14 days of publishing of examination results. Alternatively emails can be sent to email@example.com. No late appeals will be considered. Late appellants whose applications cannot be considered are thus welcome to request the EAAB to use the paid appeal fees for any paid service rendered by the EAAB. The applicable schedule of fees is available on the EAAB website.
The EAAB sends their well wishes to all examination candidates as they continue with their examination preparations.
