ESTATE AGENTS ARE REMINDED TIMEOUSLY TO REGISTER FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) IN 2017
The EAAB wishes to remind estate agents that all persons holding a valid fidelity fund certificate, in the capacity of either principal or non-principal estate agent but excluding intern estate agents, must register for CPD purposes in 2017. Intern estate agents will need to register for CPD purposes in the calendar year immediately following the year in which they gain full status as an estate agent (that is to say, once the fidelity fund certificate is no longer endorsed “Intern”).
Participants who have not accrued the required number of verifiable and non-verifiable CPD points for any previous CPD years will also be able, by using the EAAB’s ‘catch-up’ programme, to obtain the outstanding CPD points that they may still require.
Full details in respect of CPD registration for 2017 and the ‘catch-up’ programme, as well as of the CPD programme for 2017, are contained in a communique placed by the EAAB on its website and which may be accessed by clicking on the following link: https://www.eaab.org.za/article/estate_agents_are_reminded_timeously_to_register_for_continuing_professional_development_cpd_in_2017
Estate agents are respectfully requested to ensure that they acquaint themselves with the details for CPD registration in 2017, by consulting the communique – and especially the important programme timelines, as soon as possible. Doing so will ensure that they remain compliant in this respect.
